President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended on Thursday a session of the Egyptian government simulation program organized on the third day of the country's first National Youth Conference.

Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr and other senior officials also attended the session.

On Tuesday, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi opened the three-day National Youth Conference with the participation of a large number of senior officials and media people.

Over 3,000 youths from different backgrounds are also taking part in the event.

The conference addresses the exchange rate crisis, monetary policy and the proposals by youths in this regard.

The conference focuses on ways of supporting small and medium sized enterprises within the framework of confronting unemployment.

The Egyptian president has declared 2016 the “year of Egyptian youth. Reset
Addressing the session, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry talked about the priorities of the Egyptian foreign policy.

The Egyptian policy is flexible, Shoukry said, noting that it is too hard to set a specific timing to solve issues and it is also hard to set any framework of the crisis to face different challenges.

Interior Minister Magdi Abdel Ghaffar, on his part, said the current session discussions failed to picture the exact size of security challenges facing the country.

Egypt faces a huge terrorist scheme aiming at destabilizing the country, he said, stressing that a lot of efforts are being done to face this scheme.

He called for increasing popular support for State efforts to fight terrorism, making clear that more than 850 martyrs of security forces were killed and 20,000 others injured from 2011 to date in order to maintain the country's stability and security.

The state is enduring big financial burdens to face security challenges and at least State bodies need to sense some popular support for all sacrifices that are being offered, the minister said.
Addressing a session of the Egyptian government simulation program organized on the third day of the first National Youth Conference, Health Minister Ahmed Emad said his ministry is keen to provide constant training to all health sector workers and is working on offering the funds needed to upgrade health institutions.

For his part, Culture Minister Helmy el Nemnem said education has to be linked with culture as they are historically interrelated.

Touching on the issue of renewing the religious discourse, he said a religious revolution is needed to change wrong definitions.

He hailed efforts by the Armed Forces and Interior Ministry against terrorism, saying that special attention has to be given to scientific research to face crises and apply projects such as water desalination, seawater irrigation and the 1.5 million feddans project.

Meanwhile, Finance Minister Amr el Garhy said the government is keen to draft future plans on economic conditions developments and consumer rates and is working on increasing local and international investments, improving the investment stage and reducing bureaucracy.

He said he hopes the supreme council of investment, which was formed recently under the chairmanship of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, will help fight bureaucracy, facilitate investment procedures and promote the public and private sectors.

Speaking at the event, International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr said the government’s economic reform aims to improve the standard of living of the Egyptian citizen, noting that it highly depends on the resources and time elements.

At the conclusion, Investment Minister Dalia Khorshid said the government is working as one team to support investment, whose problems have to be resolved through all ministries and bodies concerned not only the Investment Ministry.
