
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi returned home on Thursday after a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia, during which he attended part of the "North Thunder" drills.
Sisi met with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud. The two sides agreed on facing all attempts of intervention in the Arab countries' affairs.
They also stressed the deeply-rooted relations between the two countries and the necessity of boosting cooperation amid major challenges including combating terrorism and achieving stability and security in the region.
The Saudi king praised the Egyptian stances in defending the Arab causes and boosting the joint Arab action.
President Sisi hailed as "honorable" the Saudi positions towards Egypt and its people, calling for boosting cooperation and coordination in the face of various challenges.
He asserted Egypt's keenness on the security of the Arab Gulf, which is an integral part of the Egyptian national security.
