President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting Saturday with Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry to discuss latest updates on the Palestinian cause and regional developments.
They reviewed the outcomes of work conducted by the Arab ministerial committee tasked with following up with the Palestinian file at the United Nations, presidential spokesman Alaa Yusuf said.
The committee is planned to convene Saturday in presence of Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby and French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius.
Fabius would discuss a new effort by Paris to resurrect the peace process, the spokesman said.
Sisi asserted Palestinian cause as a priority for the Egyptian foreign policy, Yusuf added, saying, Cairo coordinates efforts with international partners to push peace efforts forward.
