President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Thursday with Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab who briefed the president on the outcome of his recent visit to France during which the prime minister met with French President Francois Hollande and other senior officials.
Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said the visit was aimed at boosting relations between Egypt and France, luring more French investments to Egypt and following up the projects France plans to carry out here during the coming period.
Earlier, France agreed to implement a number of projects in the Arab country during the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EECD) which was held in Sharm el Sheikh on March 13-15.
During the meeting, President Sisi asserted the importance of strengthening ties with the friendly countries, including France.
The president also ordered the government to seriously work to promote the role of the control and consumer protection bodies to provide high quality products and medication at affordable prices for citizens.
He issued directives to control the prices to protect low income brackets.
