
Abdel Fattah El Sisi opened on Saturday the historical palace of the State Council after renovation.
The opening ceremony was attended by Head of State Council Counselor Gamal Nada and his deputies.
Sisi also attended the signing ceremony of a document statute of the Arab Union of the Administrative Court, said Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef.
Nada delivered a speech after the signing ceremony, said the spokesman, adding that the secretary general of the Arab Union of the Administrative Court Mohamed Raslan submitted the document to the representatives of the Arab countries, which are signatories of the document and include Bahrain, Jordan, Tunisia, Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, Mauritania, the UAE, Yemen, Algeria and Morocco.
Sisi also received the widow of martyr Omar Hamad, a counselor at the State Council, and the father of martyr Mostafa Wakil, the deputy of the prosecutor general, who were killed in the terrorist attack, which took place in Arish while they were on duty during the parliamentary elections, said the spokesman.
Sisi affirmed that the two martyrs scarified their lives for the sake of homeland, added the spokesman.
The spokesman further said that Sisi held a meeting with members of the ad hoc council of the State Council and congratulated them on the reopening of the historical palace of the Council.
The affirmed his appreciation for the judges who exert relentless efforts for the sake of the homeland.
He also hailed the performance of the various judicial institutions, including the State Council, which was established in 1946.
Following the meeting, Sisi shook hands with the members of the special council, who handed over the council's shield to the president.
The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, Justice Minister Ahmed el Zend, Minister of Legal Affairs Magdy Al Agaty, Head of the Constitutional Court Adly Mansour, Supreme Judicial Council President Ahmed Gamal El-Din and Prosecutor General Nabil Sadiq along with members of judicial institutions.
