
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Saudi Deputy Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defense Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud where they held bilateral discussions followed by an expanded meeting which was attended by the delegations of the two countries.
El Sisi welcomed the Saudi official and asked him to convey his greetings to the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz, according to the presidential spokesman Ambassador Alaa Yousef.
He underlined that Egypt will always support the Arab countries, adding that the security of the Arab Gulf region is a red line for Egypt and it is part of its national security.
The president hailed the great stances of Saudi Arabia and its backing to the free will of the Egyptian people.
For his part, the Saudi deputy crown prince lauded the role played by Cairo in preserving the Arab security and promoting the joint Arab work on all domains.
El Sisi handed the Saudi prince a message to the Saudi monarch inviting him to pay an official visit to Egypt where he will be most welcomed by the Egyptian people for the support offered by Riyadh during a critical phase of the country's history.
The visit will be a chance for the two nations to boost the joint relations so as to overcome the regional challenges, said Yousef.
The get-together took up promoting bilateral cooperation in the political and economic fields.
The two sides tackled also the latest regional developments amid the fierce attack that the Arab region comes under.
They agreed on the importance of facing all attempts of interference in the internal affairs of the Arab countries by foreign nations.
