South Sinai Governor Khalid Fouda visited on Tuesday the International Convention Center in Sharm el Sheikh to follow up preparations for the 26th session of the Arab League Summit, due Saturday and Sunday.
The governor, accompanied by a number of security leaders, paid a number of field visits to make sure that security forces are fully ready for securing the two-day event, which Egypt hosts for the first time since the January 25 and June 30 revolutions.
Meanwhile, the Arab League permanent delegates held a meeting earlier in the day ahead of the Arab trade minsters' meeting slated for Wednesday.
On Thursday, the Arab foreign ministers will convene as the recommendations of the two ministerial meetings will be submitted to the Arab leaders to be discussed during the summit.
