
The National Congress Party (NCP) revealed that it has set 18 criteria for its candidate of the positions of the President of Republic, the party and Walis (governors).
The Chairman of the organizational Communications Sector at the NCP, Engineer Hamid Siddig said that the NCP candidate for the Presidency of Republic should be strong, honest, trustful, educated, flexible without weakness, generous without extravagance, sparing, adding that he shall have no business.
He stressed that specifications and criteria for the candidate of the presidency include confidence, righteousness, fears lechery, keeping his door open before people, of good morals and appropriate educational qualification, modernized , broad-minded , have power of foresight initiative and experience.
In press statement at the NCP General Centre Siddig called on the membership to fear God in choosing candidate as it is worship. He said that we reminded our membership to choose the best person far away from groupings.
He revealed that the selection of the party's candidate for the presidency starts from the leadership Bureau by selecting (5) candidates to be referred to the Shura National Council which works to arrange them and refers one candidate to the General Conference , pointing out that the process of choosing candidates starts by selecting the Shura Council to 7 persons 5 out of them to be chosen and referred to the General Centre to choose the state candidate for the Wali (governor)' position.
