The Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council endorsed here on Tuesday at the conclusion of the 35th Doha summit decisions and recommendations of interior ministers on the establishment of a Gulf police force to be based in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi.
The GCC leaders agreed as stated in the final communique of their summit to speed up the mechanisms of the formation of the unified military command of the Council authorizing the establishment of the 81st unified maritime force.
The GCC leaders also adopted the (Declaration of Human Rights) for the Gulf Arab states, calling for continued cooperation and integration efforts among member states, particularly those related to economic integration.
The final communique expressed satisfaction of the GCC leaders towards what has been achieved of procedural steps in the strategic partnership with Jordan and Morocco and continue dialogues in this regard.
On violence and extremism, the GCC states renewed thier position of rejecting all forms of extremism and terrorism, stressing their commitment to renounce ideological extremism.
They stressed in the final communique that was read by the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Abdullatif Al-Zayani that the Gulf states stand together against terrorism and seek to drain its resources and funding sources, welcoming at the same time the UN Security Council's condemnation of human rights violations in both Iraq and Syria.
On Iran, the final communique stressed the importance of regional relations built on the basis of good neighborliness and non-interference in the internal affairs of countries in the region and the non-use of force or threats, renewing rejection of the Iranian occupation of the three UAE islands and support the sovereignty of the United Arab Emirates on them.
The leaders reiterated their fixed positions over supporting the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Egyptian presidency program of the roadmap.
The statement also supported the decisions of the comprehensive national dialogue in Yemen, calling on all parties to resolve their differences through peaceful means and denounce the violence practiced there.
On Libya, the statement called for an immediate end to the violence in Libya, stressing the necessity of all parties to recognize the legitimacy of the elected House of Representatives.
The statement also noted to the continuing deterioration of the situation in Syria, saying it does not serve the security and stability of the region, welcoming at the same time outcome of the Security Council meeting which decided to impose sanctions on terrorist groups.
On Palestine, The statement stressed the permanent support of the right of Palestinians to establish their state with East Jerusalem as its capital, denouncing the "brutal attacks" exercised by against unarmed civilians.
