Syrian regime forces on Friday launched 25 air strikes on Tadmur city, currently under control of Daesh terrorist group.
The air strikes were the fiercest since Daesh has taken control of the city, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Daesh seized full control of the millennia-old oasis city of Tadmur, otherwise known as Palmyra, on May 20 this year.
Syria is reeling under four years of conflict and intense battles between government troops and an array of ultra-radical groups such as the Nursra Front and Daesh.
