
Syrian army units destroyed several cars loaded with weapons and ammunition, and killed all members of armed militant groups in Homs and its countryside. An official source said that an army unit destroyed five cars laden with weapons and ammunition to the West of elderly hospice in al-Saan area and militants' gatherings in al-Rabiyeh, al-Msheirfeh and al-Habra al-Sharqiyeh in al-Mukharram area, Khalij Kiseen and al-Hazm area near al-Hawarin village. The source added that an army unit confronted a terrorist group that attempted to attack a military checkpoint near al-Zara Bridge, killing many terrorists including Motasem al-Dandashi, the leader of the so-called "Jonoud Allah battalion". The source pointed out that members of an armed militant group were killed in the area between al-Khalediyeh and al-Zara villages, while army units inflicted heavy losses upon militants in operations against their gatherings near al-Walid Compound in Jurat al-Shayyah, Souk, al-Jaj and al-Qussour neighborhoods in the city of Homs.
