
The Syrian opposition has to exert its utmost efforts at Riyadh conference to reach a united stance to restore the unity and regional safety of Syria, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
During a meeting with a Syrian opposition delegation in Cairo, Shoukry underlined that the opposition has to be representative of all segments of the Syrian people.
Egypt hopes that the outcome of the Riyadh conference, to take place on December 8 and 9 under the framework of the Vienna conference, will serve the interests of the Syrian people, Shoukry said according to Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.
The delegation handed over a letter of appreciation and gratitude to the foreign minister over Egypt's role in supporting the Syrian cause and giving the opposition the chance to hold meetings in Cairo to reach a comprehensive vision for a political solution to the Syrian crisis, the spokesman said.
The delegation comprises Jamal Soliman, Khaled al Mahamed, Qassem el Khateeb and Mohamed Hejazy.
