The Observatory for Anomalous and Takfiri Fatwas of Dar al Ifta hailed the efforts exerted by Egypt to avoid offering a fertile land for Daesh – which is present in Libya – in Matrouh – which is on borders with Libya.
The observatory warned that Daesh is sprawling in Libya due to its security and political conditions.
The observatory added that Libya became a haven for Daesh after pounding their posts in Syria and Iraq, cautioning of the gravity of Daesh on Libya's neighboring states.
In a statement Saturday, the observatory said Daesh seeks to control oil fields to secure a financial source for its terror operations.
Daesh has manipulated the infighting and chaos in Libya to turn Sirte to be their stronghold.
Daesh has fanned out hundreds of its foreign fighters in Sirte and neighboring areas.
The observatory urged international and regional cooperation to prevent Daesh expansion.
The observatory said settling differences among feuding Libyan parties and striking blows at Daesh in Libya can help curbing Daesh.
