
Spokesman of al-Asaish Directorate in Kirkuk, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, confirmed on Sunday that the Director of al-Asaish of Daquq district, 45 km south of Kirkuk, escaped an assassination attempt when the IS elements opened fire on his car, and the incident led to the killing of one of his bodyguards.
Brigadier Smco Mahmoud told the National Iraqi News Agency / Nina / that the IS elements stationed in al-Wehda village , in Daquq , south of Kirkuk opened fire from a sniper weapon on the vehicle of the Director of al- Asaish of Daquq district, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Colonel Akram Hassan Arif when he was on his way to Kirkuk, killing one of his bodyguards.
