
Transportation Minister Galal Mostafa described the signing of an agreement to establish a bridge connecting Egypt and Saudi Arabia as a high-level political decision.
In statements on Friday, the minister said that after the signing of the deal specialists from both countries will study the starting and ending points of the bridge, means of establishing it, its length, building schedule and other technical issues.
Another agreement is expected to be signed concerning marine cooperation between the two Arab countries.
This agreement will contribute in fostering the volume of trade between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, he added that the ministry is discussing with its Saudi counterpart the issue of the departure of pilgrims from Suez port to Jeddah port and its harmful effects on Suez economy
