Giza Criminal Court adjourned on Sunday the trial of 188 defendants over torching a police station and killing 14 police officers in Kerdasa district, Giza, to September 9.
The court took the decision to listen to the testimonies of the prosecution witnesses.
The defendants, armed with firearms and RPGs, had stormed the police station in Kerdasa shortly after security forces dispersed pro-ousted president Mohamad Morsi supporters at protest camps in mid-August.
The attackers also seized weapons and videotaped the attack to humiliate the police.
They are facing charges of committing terrorist crimes, premeditated and attempted murder, sabotage of public institutions, robbery, possession of explosives, arms and light weapons, breaking out detainees and unlawful assembly.
