A Minya court on Sunday adjourned till April 3 the trial of 24 lawyers who are accused of insulting the judiciary.
The court ordered 22 lawyers, who attended Sunday's session, to be released.
Chairman of the Bar Association Sameh Ashour and Chairman of Minya's Bar Association Tariq Fouda, who attended the session, urged the court to adjourn the trial to let a chance for the other two defendants to attend, hear witnesses and adopt a reconciliation between lawyers and the plaintiff.
In April 2013, lawyers clashed with a Judge in a Minya court and 24 of them were referred to a criminal court over charges of rioting, causing chaos, disrupting work in a judicial facility, assaulting a Judge and insulting the judiciary.
