Qena Criminal Court decided Saturday to postpone to February 6 the trial of four officers and five non-commissioned officers.
It decided also to acquit four conscripts.
The defendants face charges of torturing a worker, named Talaat Shebeb el Rashidy, to death.
The decision was made to testify the senior forensic doctor.
In November, the security apparatuses in Luxor received a notification about the gathering of hundreds of citizens in front of Luxor International Hospital to protest against the killing of a worker.
They accused some officers of beating and torturing him inside Luxor police station. The worker was arrested on the backdrop of allegedly possessing drugs.
