Tribesmen kill 3 soldiers in southeast Yemen

Armed tribesmen killed three Yemeni soldiers and left others wounded in an assault on a military post in the restive southeastern province of Hadramawt on Saturday, officials said. "Tribesmen attacked with machineguns a checkpoint to the east of the town of Al-Qotn, killing three soldiers and wounding others," said a local official. The attack came on the second day of confrontations across southern Yemen between militants and security forces after the death of a tribal chief.
