Tunisia to open consular office on borders with Libya

Tunisia will open a consular office on the borders with Libya to support the interests of Tunisian expatriates in Libya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tunisia Taïeb Baccouche said on Monday.
In statements, Baccouche pointed out the ability of boosting cooperation among a number of "friendly and sisterly" nations that still have diplomatic missions in Libya.
He added that Tunisia's decision to open a general consulate in Libya was a correct decision despite the unstable situation in Libya.
He added that Tunisian parties have hindered the bid to release abducted diplomats in Libya via contacting the kidnappers and urging them to only release the kidnapped diplomats if Tunisia released Libyan leader Walid Al-Qaleeb.
Tunisian diplomats, kidnapped in Libya, were released after the Tunisian Consulate in the Libyan capital Tripoli was stormed.
The diplomats were released Wednesday following official Libyan-Tunisian negotiations.
The Tunisian diplomats' abduction is connected with imprisoning Qaleeb, a member of Fagr Libya group.
