
Tunisian Foreign Minister At-Tayeb Al-Baccouche employees of the Tunisian consulate in Tripoli, kidnapped in Libya a week ago, have been freed.
Baccouche told reporters today that the remainder of Tunisian employees in the Tunisian Consulate in Tripoli have been released and they all returned to Tunisia yesterday.
An armed group stormed the Tunisian Consulate in Tripoli and abducted ten of its employees conditioning for their release the handover of Walid al-Qalib, a leading member of the pro-Islamist Dawn of Libya forces, who had been arrested in Tunisia on charges of terrorism. Al-Qalib had since been released and handed over to the Libyan authorities.
