
Interim President of Tunisia Mohamed Moncef Marzouki met here on Friday with the Arab League envoy to Libya Nasser Al-Qodwa, who is currently visiting Tunisia.
Al-Qodwa said in remarks following the meeting that the two sides exchanged views on the need to concert the efforts of Arab countries and organisations with a view to help Libya on a path to complete its democratic transition and building state institutions.
Tunisia will host, on Sunday, a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Algeria, Egypt, Sudan, Chad, Niger and Tunisia in addition to Libya and representatives from the Arab League and the African Union.
According to a Tunisian foreign ministry's statement, the meeting will dedicated for discussing the current development in Libya and exchanging views on ways and aspects of support that can be provided by neighboring countries for the efforts and initiatives of Libya.
The meeting also aims to assist in establishing a Libyan national dialogue, achieve transitional justice, strengthen the state institutions and the process of democratic transition in Libya.
