Abu Dhabi - Emirates Voice

Under its wise leadership, the UAE has become a global role model for tolerance, creative diversity, co-existence and networking among different cultures, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Tolerance, said today.

In a statement made after the announcement of the new cabinet, approved by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Nahyan said: "With a such successful example, the UAE now has a larger responsibility in making the world a better place for prosperity, development and stability."

He added that he was proud of the vision of the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, that tolerance is a necessity for the nation and the progress of the whole world.

He pledged to work hard as the Minister of Tolerance to build bridges of communication and amity among all in the country, the region and the world.

"I am grateful to the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for his nice words when announcing my appointment as the Minister of Tolerance and I cannot thank him enough for his prudent leadership and his great efforts in serving the UAE." he added.

Sheikh Nahyan also thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for the trust bestowed on him.

He concluded by saying: "I am proud of my country, the UAE, and its people and I hope I will be able, in this position, to contribute to realising our leadership's vision and to meet the expectations of the UAE people. I pray to Allah the Almighty that our country will continue to progress and prosper."
