
U.A.E. Ambassador to Malaysia, Abdullah Matar Khamis Al Mazrouei has attended the launching ceremony of the distribution of aid to the affectees of last year floods in Kuantan.
Prince Abdullah bin Sultan Shah of Malaysia and Fahad Abdul Rahman bin Sultan, Head of the Emirates Red Crescent delegation were in attendance on the occasion.
The crown prince of the state of Pahang and senior ministers and officials in the state expressed their thanks and appreciation to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces, stressing that this aid indicates the depth of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
The assistance will be provided in three phases: The first phase including restoration and maintenance of affected houses and mosques and provision of health care for needy families; Second phase includes distribution of furniture and home accessories and in the third phase cash money will be distributed among the beneficiaries.
