UAE deputy PM meets Hamas chief

UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan met Sunday with Chairman of Hamas Politburo Khaled Meshaal, who is currently visiting the UAE. During the meeting, they reviewed the latest developments on the Palestinian arena and the efforts to achieve Palestinian national reconciliation in addition to a number of issues of mutual concern. Sheikh Mansour affirmed the UAE\'s support to the Palestinian people to retrieve their legitimate national rights, primarily the establishment of an independent state in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab peace initiative. For his part, Meshaal lauded the stances adopted by UAE President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and hailed the good initiatives undertaken by the UAE to support the Palestinian people.
