The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation team, under the supervision of the UAE Embassy in Afghanistan, has provided humanitarian aid to flood victims in Faryab province in Afghanistan.
The gesture comes in implementation of the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The team arrived in Faryab, which is located in the north-west, despite dire security conditions in the province. From May 28 to 30, the team worked on establishing a camp for flood victims, which includes 200 tents and the distribution of relief aid to 2,019 families in various places in Daulatabad in the province of Faryab and other cities.
The distribution process was attended by a number of Afghan officials, who expressed thanks to the UAE.
