
The UAE has participated in the activities of the 45th session of the High Coordination Committee of Joint Arab Action which began on Tuesday under the Chairmanship of the Arab League Secretary-General, Nabil Elaraby.
Hani bin Huwaiden, a diplomat at the UAE Embassy in Cairo, is representing the country at the meeting.
Directors of Joint Arab Action organisations and institutions are taking part in the event, which aims to boost cooperation and the exchange of expertise among Arab League member states.
The two-day event will cover coordination and cooperation among Joint Arab Action institutions, development and activation of the committee’s work, and strengthen cooperation and the exchange of experiences between the Arab League and the UN, Heads of Departments of Arab organisations and unions.
During the meeting, the Arab Women Organisation will present a paper on supporting Arab women in light of the armed disputes in the region.
