
UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has mourned the death of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz who passed away early on Friday, the UAE WAM news agency reported.
"We mourn the death of one of the most notable leaders of the Arab Nation and Muslim Nation who generously gave a lot to his people and his nation and sincerely defended the causes of the Arab Nation and the Muslim Nation," Sheikh Khalifa said.
He ordered a three-day mourning, starting today Friday, and that the UAE national flag be flown at half-mast at all government departments in the UAE and at all embassies and diplomatic missions of the UAE overseas.
In the meantime, Moroccan King Mohammad VI has paid tribute to the late King.
He sent a cable of condolences to Saudi King Salman bin Abdel Aziz to mourn the Saudi King.
