The UAE Foreign Ministry has protested against Qatar over a Friday prayer sermon by preacher Youssef el-Qaradawi in which he said Abu Dhabi stood against all Islamic ruling regimes. UAE News Agency (WAM) said Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Qarqash has summoned the Qatari ambassador in Abu Dhabi and handed him a letter of protest. Qarqash said: "We thought our neighbors would explain the official stance on this verbal aggression and provide guarantees against its repetition." He added: "We reject such behavior and violence inciting." The UAE official noted that his country had sought over the past few days to make its point clear, saying his country was against instigation.
