The second Government Summit under the patronage of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has announced a partnership with Arabtec Construction L.L.C., as part of the Summit's continuous efforts to attract outstanding partnerships at the national and international levels. This year, the Summit will be held from 10 to 12 February in Dubai under the theme "Leading Government Services". The partnership between the Government Summit and Arabtec underlines the importance of the Summit as a national project that integrates the contributions of the public and private sectors in supporting the government of the future that will provide exceptional services that exceed customer expectations, in line with the UAE Vision 2021. Hasan Abdullah Ismaik, Managing Director and CEO of Arabtec Holding, stated: "We are proud to sponsor the Government Summit in its second edition. This is an event that highlights the high level of integration between the UAE's public and private sectors. The enduring partnership between the two sectors is indeed a major element in the UAE's marvellous success story and its evolution as a world leading economy." Ismaik added: "The UAE has presented the international community with a number of innovative experiences that serve as benchmarks. The enduring partnership between the government sector and the private sector stands out prominently among them. From a very early stage, the Government has embraced the private sector as a bona fide partner in development and sought its advice on the initiatives to improve government services and achieve the UAE Vision 2021 launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Arabtec's partnership with the Government Summit is driven by its keenness to play a key role as a UAE firm in delivering the UAE Government's national agenda, geared primarily towards the prosperity of its citizens and consolidating the UAE's position as a country with unique contributions to the human civilization." The Summit in its second edition continues its partnerships with a number of international organisations and institutions such as the United Nations, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and at the national level with the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government as a Knowledge Partner. Following the overwhelming success of the Government Summit in its first edition, UAE University is also coming on board as another major Knowledge Partner while the World Economic Forum will be a Strategic Partner. Aiming to take advantage of the experiences of the private sector, the Government Summit has succeeded in attracting partnerships with a number of national institutions and leading companies in the UAE private sector, including Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank. The Summit will be attended by over 3500 delegates and over 60 regional and international speakers and intellectuals. It will witness the launch of a series of international reports on the development of government services, and propose many worksheets and constructive discussions that will contribute to the expansion and dissemination of knowledge and model government sector development in the region.
