U.A.E. on Monday took part in the Arab League Council's emergency meeting in Cairo which discussed the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip.
U.A.E. was represented to the meeting by Khalifa Al Tunaiji, Deputy Permanent Representative of U.A.E. to Arab League.
Monday's meeting of the Arab permanent representatives addressed the latest developments in Palestinian Territories, Gaza Strip in particular.
A high-level Palestinian delegation, Arab League Secretary-General Nabil el-Araby, took part in yesterday's meeting which demanded that the US, European countries, Russia, China and other countries set up humanitarian land, sea and air bridges to deliver emergency relief aid including fuel and food, to Palestinians in Gaza Strip for seven to 10 days in parallel with the indirect ongoing Egypt-mediated truce talks for a lasting ceasefire in Gaza.
The Arab League's meeting took place as Israel and the Palestinians began talks in Cairo to try and end the conflict in Gaza and lift the blockade on the coastal enclave, Egypt's state news agency MENA said.
The indirect talks began a day after the two sides agreed to begin a new 72-hour truce.
