The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has welcomed the signing of the United Nations-sponsored peace agreement among different Libyan parties.
Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, welcomed the agreement which was signed yesterday in the Moroccan city of Skhirat and applauded the efforts made by the signatory parties and the United Nations envoy, Martin Kobler.
"We hope that Libya will witness a new phase of stability, unity and the social amity," Dr. Gargash said.
He urged all Libyan parties to place their country's interest above any narrow interests, to leave the past behind and to look into the future to serve the interests of the brotherly people of Libya.
