UN Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed said that peace negotiations among the Yemeni parties will be resumed Wednesday.
In a press release published by the Kuwaiti news agency "Kuna", the UN envoy said that he had urged all parties to return anew to the negotiating table, stressing that a peaceful dialogue is the only way to resolve the Yemeni crisis.
Earlier, the Yemeni government suspended its participation in the UN-brokered peace negotiations currently hosted by Kuwait due to incidents that took place in the province of Omran.
