Finance Minister Hani Qadri reviewed a report compiled by the Customs Authority on the US customs' approval to offer technical support to the Egyptian side to develop work mechanisms at border customs outlets.
The move aims to facilitate Egypt's international trade movement with neighboring countries, the Finance Ministry said in a statement.
The US approval was given on the sidelines of meetings of the Policy Commission of the World Customs Organization, held recently in the Dominican Republic, director of the technical office at the Egyptian Customs Authority Ahmed Hassanein said.
Hassanein said he had also met with the director of the British Revenue and Customs, who said his country was ready to provide technical assistance to Egypt to develop customs work.
