US ready to improve skills of Lebanese army

US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin Dempsey has said that the US “is ready to improve the skills of the Lebanese army in the fields of training, arming and logistics,” reported Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA). Dempsey met with Lebanese army commander General Jean Kahwaji and discussed bilateral relations and ways to improve them, added the report. Kahwaji has met with other US official, including Senators John McCain and Howard Berman.
