The Arab League has today hosted a ceremony in honour of the winners of the 7th edition of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa Voluntary Work Award.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa Voluntary Work Award, Honorary President of Good Word Society, and Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Abul Gheit honoured the winners of the 2017 laureates, who represent more than ten Arab countries, in recognition of their contributions.

The scroll of honour includes UAE Community Development Minister Najla bint Mohammed Al-Our; International Islamic Charitable Organisation President Dr. Abdulla Maatoug Al-Maatoug, also Amiri Court Advisor and UN Secretary-General’s Special Advisor (Kuwait); Suhail Bahwan Holding Group Chairman and Head of Suhail Bahwan Charitable Foundation Shaikh Suhail Salim Bahwan (Oman); National Elderly Committee Vice Chairman and Bahrain Charity Society Secretary-General Dr. Hassan Ibrahim Kamal (Bahrain); Heba Helal Al-Suwaidi, Founder and board of trustees’ chairperson of Ahl Misr Charitable Foundation (Egypt); Mohammed Ali Al-Halimi, businessman (Yemen); Dr. Abdulla Saef, teacher at the College of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences, director of the Center for Sociological Studies, Social Development Institute director and former National Education Minister (Morocco).

The list also includes Waheed bin Al-Tayeb Al-Obaidi, Tunisia Scouts Commander-in-Chief (Tunisia); Mona Hassan Mohammed (Somalia); Soumaya Ahmed Al-Qarmi, Watan Al-Eid Russ For Women’s Development, member of the National Dialogue Comference (Yemen); Tawfiq Rashid Sultan, leading social personality (Lebanon); Hesham Fayez Al-Sharari, former youth minister (Jordan); Amati bint Hamadi, Nouakchott Urban Group Chairperson and former Manpower Minister (Mauritania); Dr.Talal Tawfiq Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh International (Jordan); Bashir Sadiq Jamua, businessman (Sudan).

Addressing the ceremony, HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier for their support.

He commended the Arab League for hosting the ceremony to honour the winners of the 7th edition of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa Voluntary Work Award.

He expressed appreciation to Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Abul Gheit for his good initiative to host the award-distribution ceremony.

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa congratulated all the recipients of the 2017 edition, hailing their dedication in serving their communities.
