Weapons, ammunitions seized in Wasit province, Iraq

Emergency Regiment detachments in Wasit province seized a cache of weapons and ammunition in one of the areas north of the province.
The police chief in Wasit Brigadier Qasim Rashid Zwayyid told the reporter of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "The emergency forces, during a search, were able to seize the weapons and munitions in one of the orchards in Jomisa region of north-western Swayra district."
He added: "The cache included / 5 / Kalashnikov rifles and quantities of light and medium munitions and explosive materials, in addition to homemade IEDs and mortar rounds."
He pointed out that: "the seized materials were transferred to an area far from residential areas to destroyed them.
