
The World Peace Committee has confirmed the appointment of Emirati Dr. Abdulrahman Al Ansari as Ambassador-at-Large for World Peace. As ambassador, he will be coordinating the World Peace Summit 2017 which will be attended by 202 countries. Dr. Abdulrahman will also lead the coordination for the conference which will be at the core of the summit.
Djuyoto Suntani, The President of the World Peace Committee, said, "Dr. Abdulrahman is the ideal candidate for the role of Ambassador-at-Large. He is a distinguished executive who is recognised for being a pioneer of innovative and forward thought."
Dr. Abdulrahman has a diverse portfolio and previously worked in a wide variety of sectors, including investment banking, oil and gas, healthcare, education and natural resources, with a focus on the continued economic and community development of the UAE. He is currently the Chairman of Bid Capital Management Consultancy.
Commenting on his appointment, Dr. Abdulrahman Al Ansari said, "I am honoured to assume the prestigious role of Ambassador-at-Large for an event of this magnitude and stature. I hope my expertise in economic and community development in the UAE will benefit the World Peace Summit and aid me in executing its objectives."
