
Yemen and Jordan signed here on Thursday 11 executive programs of cooperation. The programs were signed at the conclusion of the meeting of the 14th session of the Yemeni-Jordanian Higher Joint Committee, which was co-chaired by Yemeni Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa and Jordanian counterpart Abdullah al-Nasour. The two sides signed executive programs of cooperation in the areas of post, environmental protection, tourism, higher education and scientific research, social affairs, manpower, youth cooperation, educational cooperation, technical education and vocational training and justice. They also signed two cooperation agreements between the Yemeni News Agency (SABA) and the Jordan News Agency (Petra), and between Yemen General Corporation for Radio and Television (YGRTC) and Jordanian counterpart, in addition to two protocols of cooperation in areas of health and national production protection. Moreover, two memoranda of understanding for cooperation in sport, and technical cooperation between the Yemen Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Organization (YSMO) and the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) were signed. The Committee discussed a number of issues related to enhance the fraternal cooperation between Yemen and Jordan in the political, economic, trade, investment, cultural, educational, scientific, agricultural, health, tourism, transport, industry fields. It also reviewed the latest developments at the regional and international levels, especially in the Arab arena, and the positions of the two countries on them.
