Defense Minister in the resigned Yemeni government Mahmoud al Sobihi has turned down a call by President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi to head for Aden, southern Yemen, to take part in a cabinet meeting chaired by Khaled Bajaj to be attended by 15 ministers.
A delegation visited Sobihi in his home in Lahaj governorate in southern Yemen but failed to persuade him to head for Aden and join the president. His reasons were to avoid siding with any party whether the president and his supporters or the Houthis and their supporters in light of the crisis the country is going through, Al Shari newspaper said Tuesday.
