
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Electricity Abdullah al-Akwa returned home on Sunday after an official visit to Tunisia for several days.
Yemen and Tunisia signed a memorandum of understanding in the cooperation in renewable energy generation, particularly in technical training, al-Akwa said upon his arrival.
During the visit, al-Akwa met with Tunisian Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Energy. Both have expressed their country's readiness to support Yemen in power generation field.
Minister of Industry and Trade Saad Eddin Bin Taleb, who has accompanied the Deputy Prime Minister, said that the visit aimed to get acquainted with the Tunisian experience in power generation using solar panels and wind to be utilized in Yemen.
