
Foreign Minister Dr. Abu Bakr al-Qirbi met on Thursday with the Palestinian ambassador to Yemen Diab Nemer. The meeting touched on the possibility of activating the joint ministerial committee between Yemen and the State of Palestine and its role in strengthening the cooperation between the two countries. The Palestinian ambassador conveyed an official invitation to al-Qirbi from his Palestinian counterpart Riyadh al-Maliki to visit Palestine ,affirming the visit would have a positive affect in boosting the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries. The ambassador noted to the possibility of signing a twinning agreement between the capital Sana’a and the city of Quds, presenting an explanation on the extensive judaization attempts experienced by the city of Quds. He wished success for the national dialogue conference in Yemen. On his turn, al-Qirbi expressed his thanks for the invitation and promised to respond to it at the earliest opportunity. He confirmed Yemen’s readiness to hold the meeting of the joint committee and preparation for that in the near future.
