
President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi chaired on Thursday a meeting of the Supreme Military and Security Committee.
The meeting touched upon the latest developments on the ground and the current Houthi escalation in and around the capital Sana'a which represents a threat to security, stability and public tranquility in the city and coincides with current efforts to bring in a solution for the current crisis.
Hadi indicated that the current efforts are being exerted to save the country from being dragged into a war.
The President also briefed the meeting on the nature of the situation and ongoing negotiations led by the UN envoy to Yemen Jamal Benomar with Ansarallah leader, Abdul Malik al-Houthi, which aim to settle the crisis peacefully.
Hadi urged everyone to shoulder responsibility through maintaining security and stability.
