Mohammed Marm, the Director of the Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi's Office, has praised the great humanitarian role being played by the UAE in restoring the situation in the province of Aden, in sectors such as health, water, electricity, education and other areas.
He made the comments in a speech on the occasion of the Declaration of the Southern Resistance's acceptance of President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi's decision on its integration into the Army.
Marm also said that the UAE had provided six-months of salaries to staff in the water sector, in order for them to continue their work and restore water to affected areas, in addition to supporting the electricity sector.
He added that the UAE has pledged to support the educational process in the province of Aden and neighbouring provinces, where the country has offered more than $10million to help the education sector get back on track.
Marm also pointed out the role of the UAE in the refurbishment and rebuilding of Aden International Airport, which is now able to receive civil and military aircraft, and will soon receive commercial flights. He also touched on the UAE's efforts to restore the security apparatus, by providing vehicles for security facilities in addition to the refurbishment of police stations and security staff to manage them.
