An informed source at the High Security Committee (HSC) said on Thursday that Houthi armed elements attacked security and military checkpoints in Shamlan area and 60th meter road and took control over of those checkpoints and locations.
“These groups also opened fire using different heavy and medium weapons against the official television headquarters in Al-Jiraf area,” according to the source.
The HSC warns Houthi elements against these acts, requesting them to evacuate the controlled checkpoints and locations, return to their camps and abide by law and order in a way that does not breach security, stability and public tranquility, the source said.
He added that the Committee affirms, at the same time, that security and military apparatuses will take all the necessary legal procedures to regain those checkpoints and locations in order to preserve peoples’ security.
