Local and international media outlets circulated the news of the Lebanese young man, Ahmad Diab, from the Northern city of Tripoli, who committed a terrorist suicide bombing in Aleppo province of Syria. Diab, who was an athlete throughout his life, had joined a football club well-known in Lebanon. A source from the club told Al-Manar Website that the manager sacked Diab after the end of the last season due to the absence of any news from him for long periods. The source pointed to the obvious takfiri trends of Diab along his work with the team. Al-Manar TV broadcast Saturday a short video showing Diad telling goodbye for his relatives and family members, without specifying whether he was to travel to fight for the armed mercenaries in Syria or to another unknown destination.
