
Newly-appointed Justice Minister Ahmed el Zend headed on Thursday morning for High Court headquarters where he met with the High Court council, led by counselor Mohamed Hossam Abdel Rehim, a judicial source said.
Head and members of High Court council congratulated Zend for his new post as justice minister.
During the meeting, Zend asserted that he will be keen on supporting the independence of judiciary and also laying foundations for maintaining justice and ensuring citizens' rights.
In the meantime, Zend headed for the Justice Ministry headquarters where he convened with his assistants to review the ministry's workflow in the coming period.
