Iyad Nassar: I am the ‘new face’ of cinema
Cairo - Khalid Ali
Jordanian actor Iyad Nassar has said that after his recent role in A Dead Cameraman he considers himself the \"new face\" of cinema. In a statement to Arabstoday Iyad said: \"I cannot describe my happiness when the movie A Dead Cameraman was chosen to represent Egypt in the thirty-fifth annual Cairo Film Festival. I was so glad to work with Dorra and the talented director Kareem Aladel.\" He continued: \"The film market is all new for me, so I just try to understand it step by step. When I have some more experience I will release another movie, but at the moment I just don’t have enough so I won’t tell anyone what movies I plan on working on, even if I have the starring role.\"

Two months after legendary designer Azzedine Alaia's sudden death plunged the fashion world into mourning, an exhibition in homage to the "King of Cling" opens Monday in his studios in Paris. The Tunisian-born designer, renowned for the way his clothes hugged the body, died suddenly in November aged 82, reportedly of heart failure after falling down the stairs at his home. The diminutive maverick, who ignored fashion week convention by showing when and where he wanted, in July produced his first couture collection in six years to rapturous reviews.
