Egypt has recently introduced many reform measures meant to achieve sustainable development in 2030, said Planning Minister Ashraf el Araby Saturday.
Taking the stand on the second day of the Egyptian Economic Development Conference (EEDC), Araby said the new Egypt will be one of the top 30 countries in terms of development.
The plan for 2030 has been outlined with the support of youth and development partners, Araby told the conference.
Sustainable development is a means to benefit from human resources, Araby said.
Egypt is taking steps to improve the investment climate and settle pending business disputes as part of its development vision, the minister added.
The government, he said, is working on an ambitious development program.
It is acting to end bureaucracy through a reform program that also aims to boost transparency and counter corruption, Araby said.
He touched upon mega labor-intensive projects the government is seeking to implement in the coming stage, noting this will also help create jobs for youth.
He cited the new capital, golden triangle and one-million-feddan reclamation projects.
The Egyptian business society is offering a diversified economy, Araby told the gathering.
"Taking part in this conference you are playing an active role in ... reshaping the business climate in Egypt," he said.
