Egypt under growing pressures ahead of opening New Suez Canal

Former Assistant Foreign Minister Ambassador Mokhles Qotb asserted the importance of implementing the roadmap plan in parallel with the achievement of sustainable development plans and combating terrorism.

In statements on Sunday, Kotb said Egypt comes under pressures from international bodies backed by European and American powers to defame the achievements made in Egypt especially with the approach of opening the New Suez Canal.

He said some of these bodies do not abide by the professional and legal regulations of reporting with the aim of spreading instability and unrest about the situation in Egypt.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian diplomat called for swiftly reclaiming Sinai and establishing urban communities on all its territories in order to achieve security and welfare for all the Egyptian people.
